Application
- Pilot testing of site parameters as data needed for design of full scale in-situ remediation systems. Typical data includes:
- Radius of influence – vapour and groundwater
- Well yields – vapour, groundwater, PSH, vacuum
- VOC concentrations, dissolved contaminant concentrations in groundwater extracted under field conditions
- Temporary or final-stage remediation plant for small projects such as soil venting, soil vapour extraction (SVE) or multiphase extraction (MPE) systems. Treatment capacity for vapour and water streams can be increased if required
Features and Specifications
- Multiphase Vacuum Extraction (MPVE) and Soil Vapour Extraction (SVE) capability
- Vacuum blower (Roots), air dilution valve, vacuum relief valve
- Two GAC filter drums for removal of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) from vapour stream through
- Fluids-vapour separation in a conical cyclone type separator
- Liquids transfer tank with sight glass for observation of LNAPL. Three level control points for automated control of discharge pump
- Liquids transfer pump: automatic operation controlled by level sensors and PLC; manual speed control
- Data collection:
- Vacuum and pressure gauges
- Access points with gland seals for air flow measurement, thermometers or sampling
- Sampling points for vapour and liquids
- Sight glass on liquids transfer tank to observe PSH-water interface
- Volumetric flow meter (totaliser) on liquids discharge line
- Safety:
- ExE motors, wiring for Zone 2, include intrinsic barriers, earthing wire and stake
- System shut down at high level on liquids transfer tank
- Vacuum relieve valve (-60kPa), emergency stop button
- Handy toolbox: 1m long x 430mm wide x 400mm high
- Power requirements: 3 Phase 415V, 50Hz, 20Amps with neutral (5 pin). Minimum generator capacity required is 20kVA. 10 meter power lead and a phase rotation adaptor supplied with the unit
